How adorable is this! Dancing Baby Groot made out of Perler Beads?! What could be better than this?! Everyone seems to have fallen head over heels for this little guy. Why? Because he is perfection.
This pattern was made from a gif of the little guy dancing. The white outline was added to add more structure, but you do not have to include it in yours. (It would be really fun to also create the other characters from Guardians of the Galaxy and frame them together!) Crayon Art is easy, inexpensive, and fun! Your end product always looks fantastic, which is why it is great to do on a canvas and hang up in your room! All you need is a canvas, Crayons, and a hairdryer. You can even get really creative with it and add drawings, quotes, or other objects. You could also put the Crayons in different patterns on the canvas to make varying levels of color. Also when gluing the Crayons to the canvas, you can either take the wrapping on or leave it off. If you plan on melting most of the Crayon, I recommend taking it off just so it does not get mushed in with melted Crayon.
If you have not discovered Perler beads yet, you are missing out! These little beads can make a variety of things, including but not limited to coasters, necklaces, bracelets, and just fun little pictures. All you have to do is create a pattern (or find one in a Perler book or on the internet), arrange the beads on a peg board, iron them (with ironing paper), and then let them cool. It is also fun to glue magnets on the back of them to put on your refrigerator! I normally buy my Perler beads from Michaels because they normally have more of a selection, but they also sell them at Hobby Lobby. At both Michaels and Hobby Lobby the smaller packs of a thousand are $3.00 each and the bigger variety packs are around $12.00. If you are on a budget, they also have a cheaper version at Walmart called Melty Beads. These button bookmarks are both cute and inexpensive! All you need is: |
